Casino/Poker Party

The party was planned around the invitations, seen here. For the centerpieces, I used ostrich feathers. I designed wraps that matched the invitations for the vases. I used old picture frames that I spray painted black to display baby pictures of my husband. What party could be complete without sweets? I used Bakeralla’s recipe for the pound cake to make the dice petit fours.

Benson and Claire were born with a rare genetic disease in which their liver produces too much oxalate–called primary hyperoxaluria. Benson and Clarie are part of the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA). This non-profit charity helps children in need of life-saving transplants by organizing volunteers to raise funds for transplant-related expenses. All the funds made from the auction will be going directly to COTA.
