These invitations were custom designed for one of my best customers. She sent photos of cakes to use for inspiration for the invites. Photos can be added to both invitations. Both invitations will be available in my shop soon.
I just listed this invitation in my shop. I’d like to say the inspiration for this invitation came from some great, creative idea I had for a party. Unfortunately, I think the inspiration was the three ring circus my house has been lately.
Between the kids climbing in the dryer…
Playing the fridge….
Climbing on, and tearing the furniture apart…
and more climbing…
And the icing on the cake…
I have all inspritation I need!
The perfect way to announce the birth of your precious bundle of joy!
Wow, I have really been neglecting the blog lately! I have been busy with lots of custom orders. While I love the challenge of coming up with a new design, they can be time consuming. Here is a fun custom invitation I did for a new customer. I love the idea of a Toast N Roast birthday party! Check my shop for this and others designs.
Michele at 320 Sycamore is having a paint party! This is my first time being part of one of these parties, but it seems like a lot of fun! When it comes to paint colors, I pretty much stick to the neutrals. I like to be able to change towels, linens, pillows, etc. We mainly used two colors through the house Sand Dollar and Pacer White, both from Sherwin Williams. You can see the Sand Dollar in the dining room and living room.
Here’s a shot of the sitting area at the bottom of the stairs in the basement. This is the Pacer White on the back wall and Sand Dollar on the wall on the right side.
For the boys rooms, we used Retiring Blue. It wasn’t intentional that they are the same shade of blue. I just happen to pick the same color when our second son was born….shows how much I liked it!
This is Retiring Blue and Sable. I really love both colors.
Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to go back and see the other beautiful colors. Lots of inspiration!
Here are some fun ideas for a fun polka dot and zebra print party. This could easily be used for kids or adults. Would also work for bachelorette party, wedding shower or baby shower.

I had the priviledge of designing these Fourth of July first birthday invitations for a special little girl. Mom had a definite idea of what she wanted. I love the simplicity of them! These can be customized to fit any age.
This design and other can be found in my shop!
I feel like I have taken on a second, or third, job as a party planner! This was the third party in about five weeks that I had a hand in throw. So, the retirement party went well! Minus the fact that we didn’t take any pictures. This is the extent of the pictures that I got…
We carried the apple theme from the invitation through out the party. The favors were apple slices from Deerfield’s Bakery. Doesn’t get much better than that!
That’s right, 30th birthday invitations! Finally, my friend Mandi is turning 30 and catching up with me (ok, not quite..but close!). She can no longer give me a hard time about being old! For her invitations, she wanted something fun and unique. I think these fit the bill.
I can’t wait until the party! It’s going to be a great time!
As I look through the photos, I realized I failed to take pictures of a lot of different things. For the food, we had blue and yellow bread made by our local bakery. We used a round cookie cutter to cut the bread into circles. I wasn’t kidding when I said I went with the polka dot theme! All of the food was round. I don’t know if anyone noticed, but it was fun trying to come up with food ideas that fit!
The adults were sent home with mini loaves of banana bread. One picture I didn’t take was of the kids goodie bags. I used a white gift bag and glued blue and yellow polka dots along the bottom. Each bag was filled with fun monkey items.
The kids had a blast playing the ball pit we made using a monkey kiddie pool that was complete with a banana slide! It was perfect!
You can find the mod monkey shirt here. She does great work and is super fast!
